Who is Paul?
If you're interested in learning more about the apostle Paul and his letters in the New Testament, you might want to pick up a copy of The First Paul: Reclaiming the Radical Visionary Behind the Church's Conservative Icon, written by Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan, published by HarperOne, 2009. This will be a primary resource for Rev. Peters' Lenten sermon Series.

Friendship Sunday, March 28
Our next Friendship Sunday is March 28th. Remember that this is the date for our special combined worship service at 10:00 am, in celebration of Palm Sunday. We will be hosting a potluck brunch following service that day, which is a great time for guests to get acquainted. Sunday School will be 8:45 am in preparation for worship at 10:00.
New Day Camp Scholarships Needed
Each summer our Criminal Justice and Mercies Ministries provide camping opportunities
for children and youth whose parents are in prison. A scholarship for one child is $300,
but you may contribute any amount. Please put "New Day Camp" on your check.
New Lenten Study

We are collecting all kinds of magazines and books for the school at Ganta. there is a box in the Narthex.
Volunteer Opportunity

Movie Club & Friday Night at the Movies
We're creating two new opportunities for fellowship and fun! Each month we'll read a novel that became the basis for a movie and then watch the film together on the last Friday night of the month. The UMW are Cookin" up "New" Cook Books

Bible Connections
Wednesdays, 6:00 pm
Pyramid Classroom in the Youth Activities Building
All are welcome to join us for our weekly Bible Connections class. Each session stands on its own, so if you can't participate every week you will still benefit from our time together. Each week we listen carefully to a passage of scripture, looking for the ways God is speaking to us through these ancient words. Dianne provides some biblical background and commentary, and then we listen again, both to the text and to one another. Visitors and friends are welcome!
