Most Mondays, volunteers work at the church from 9- 11am. They help with Mobile Meals if needed, set up rooms for upcoming events, organize rooms, and decorate the Sanctuary. We also have a list of handyman projects. Anyone willing to help is welcome to join.<\/span><\/p>\n Young Adults–\u00a020s- 30s+<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Young Adults meet monthly for a meal. We often meet after worship on Sundays. Some months, we meet for dinner on different nights of the week. Friends and children are always welcome to join in.<\/span><\/p>\n Gen Xers–\u00a0basically 40-60<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n The magnificent middle (agers) gathering pops up about every other month or so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Retirees–\u00a0retired or soon-to-be retired<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Join us the second Wednesday of the month for lunch. <\/span>Meet at the restaurant at 11:30am.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Crown Heights’ Night Out– everyone, all are welcome<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Every 2 months, we plan a meal together around town. Chicken and Pickle, Fassler Hall, and Hideaway Pizza all host larger groups well. In November and February, we have a church potluck at noon.<\/span><\/p>\n Our United Methodist Women\u2019s circles are always looking for ways to serve and support one another.\u00a0 Some groups love studying a devotional book together.\u00a0 Others simply look forward to eating out together, sharing the highs and lows of their Christian journeys.\u00a0 Their annual Rummage Sale raises an incredible amount of money for missions each year.\u00a0 They honor our graduating seniors with a reception in May, and often participate in special efforts at Skyline Urban Ministries, from collecting back packs and school supplies to helping children get the right sizes for their school uniforms.<\/p>\n
