We do a monthly mission project. They vary throughout the year. In recent months, we have written encouraging notes to all the students at our local elementary school, worked on the church grounds, volunteered together at the Food Bank, and collected food for Skyline Urban Ministries. This is a great way to serve our community and get to know the people of our church better.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Volunteering in the Church Office<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Most Mondays, volunteers work at the church from 9- 11am. They help with Mobile Meals if needed, set up rooms for upcoming events, organize rooms, and decorate the Sanctuary. We also have a list of handyman projects. Anyone willing to help is welcome to join.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">GENERATION GATHERINGS<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><b>Young Adults&#8211;\u00a020s- 30s+<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Young Adults meet monthly for a meal. We often meet after worship on Sundays. Some months, we meet for dinner on different nights of the week. Friends and children are always welcome to join in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><b>Gen Xers&#8211;\u00a0basically 40-60<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">The magnificent middle (agers) gathering pops up about every other month or so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><b>Retirees&#8211;\u00a0retired or soon-to-be retired<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Join us the second Wednesday of the month for lunch. <\/span><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Meet at the restaurant at 11:30am.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><b>Crown Heights&#8217; Night Out&#8211; everyone, all are welcome<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\">Every 2 months, we plan a meal together around town. Chicken and Pickle, Fassler Hall, and Hideaway Pizza all host larger groups well.
