Holy Thursday Service & Holy Communion – “It Was Night” March 24 – 6:30 pm
– On this night, we celebrate Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples. Dress is casual; bring your family and friends.
John 13:1-17, 21-30 — Jesus’ last night with his inner circle is full of love, long conversation, and dirty feet. His parting gifts to his friends will include peace, joy, and the promise of the Spirit.
Good Friday Service – “A Service of Shadows” March 25 – 6:30 pm
– This is our annual Tenebrae service when we read aloud the story of Jesus’ last few hours on the Earth. This is a very quiet, reflective service less suitable for young children.
John 18 and 19 — This service includes carefully reading John’s account of Jesus’ last hours on earth, up to the moment on the cross when he says “It is finished.” His God-given mission is now complete. Is that all there is?
Child care is available by reservation for the Holy Thursday and Good Friday Services – Call Stacy at 524-8428 by March 23.
Easter Egg Hunt – March 27 – Starts at 10 am
Easter Sunday – “Who Knew?” March 27 – 8:30 & 11 am
John 20:1-18 and Acts 10:34-43 — After working our way through the gospel according to John, filled with so many different claims by Jesus—I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, I am the Gate for the sheep, I am the Light of the world—who would have dreamed that all the grandiose titles would be true? No one can explain it, including the earliest witnesses, but Jesus is the Resurrection, the Living God in our midst, the promised Messiah showing us the human face of God! Come celebrate this great good news!
Invite your family and friends to this wonderful celebration!
