DECEMBER 2024- Advent “On the Way to Bethlehem”
How many times have you heard from the backseat, “Are we there yet?” Such impatience to arrive at the destination! Yet the journey could hold its own beauty. While the destination is perhaps the impetus for deciding to “go,” it is often the journey itself that offers the most memorable moments– frustrating or delightful.
This Advent season, we will pay attention not just to the destination of Christmas, but also to the places where events occurred that led to a manger in which a child was born who would change the world.
This Advent, as we journey to Bethlehem, we plan to go slow and take in the sights as we go. Each week we will pause in each location and see what that place has to offer us.
So buckle up, we have miles to travel this Advent, but I promise we will arrive at our desired destination right on schedule.

Christ’s Presence Confirmed: The Gift of Peace
April 3 – Communion Sunday
Jesus’ inner circle was still trying to absorb the news of his resurrection, which left them confused, stunned, and blessed. Christ responds with three specific gifts to help them (and us) to know this is for real! Have you experienced Easter yet?
